Singles

 

Singles’ Ministries at The Chapel provides a place for single adults of all ages to find growth in Christ, friendship, and great experiences. We have Synergy (20s), Real Life (30s-40s), Impact Singles (40s-50s), and Singles in Fellowship (55+). They provide ABFs, Bible studies, outreach opportunities, road trips, retreats, and lots of great social events.


New Leadership and Direction for The Chapel’s Singles Ministry

We are extremely excited to announce that The Chapel’s Singles Ministry will be given focused and innovative oversight through two new directors starting this summer! Meet Jacob Ley and Debi Hullinger.

Recent Chapel intern, Jacob Ley, will now become our Associate Pastor of Young Singles, serving within our Young Adults Department led by Pastor Brian Kunkler. We believe that Jacob’s proven and fresh approach to ministry, with a unique ability to connect to younger generations, will provide just the right course for this new singles launch. As our former young singles ministry, Synergy, now grafts itself into this new endeavor, it is our hope that this pioneering ministry will one day reach thousands of young men and women throughout the Northeast Ohio region.

As for our mid-to-late singles, Debi Hullinger will transition as the Director of Mid-Late Singles, providing direct leadership and care to both Real Life (singles 30’s-40’s) and Impact (singles 40’s-50’s). Debi has served on The Chapel’s staff for almost 20 years in a variety of leadership roles, transitioning into this new position with vast experience and knowledge in ministry effectiveness. Sessions are already being designed to meet with both Real Life and Impact ministries in establishing this new transition.

The Chapel has spent months praying and analyzing our next steps for these key ministries and we are grateful and excited for God’s leading in this new and necessary venture.

Synergy is for young adults in their 20s, and Real Life is for young adults in their 30s-40s. In both ministries, we want to reach out to and equip individuals by encouraging them to be salt and light everywhere God has placed them.

We offer missions trips, outreach events, service projects, ABFs, midweek activities, small-group studies, retreats, and more! Below, you can check out our ABFs and our list of coming events.

Singles in Fellowship

Designed for singles age 55+. We want to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus and provide support as you live life as a single adult. We are driven by the belief that becoming more like Jesus brings the contentment and wholeness we all desire. Contact Rhonda Messner at 330.315.5501.

Summer Nights Bible Study
Fridays beginning June 25, 7:00 - 9:15 pm
Ledges Shelter, Virginia Kendall

A great time for single adults to come together for weekly guest speakers, small-group discussion, refreshments, and worship music. Bring your Bible. This is a joint outreach ministry of The Chapel and Hudson Community Chapel. Contact Rhonda at 330.315.5501.

 

 

 

 

 


grillSummer on the Green -Real Life
Wednesdays, June 2-August 25
6:30-9:30 pm, Atrium, Green

An indoor/outdoor event with activities including food, fellowship, volleyball, hiking, testimonies, and devotions. Please bring a side dish to share and whatever item you would like on the grill. Contact Rhonda at 330.315.5501.

ReBuilders Divorce Recovery Group

Akron Campus, Berean Room, Thursdays, 7:00 pm. A support group for those dealing with unwanted divorce. Meets year-round except for a break during the Divorce Recovery Workshop, September 10–October 29. View the brochure.
